When testing your Linkpoint/YourPay payment gateway setup your transaction result fails

SYMPTOMS

When testing your Linkpoint/YourPay payment gateway setup your transaction result is FAILED.

R_ERROR
SGS-020005: Error (Merchant config file is missing, empty or cannot be read) is received in the results table dumped to screen.

CAUSE

Normally you will receive this error when you are trying to use your live account credentials (.pem file and store number) with the staging server.

RESOLUTION

1. In order to use the staging server to run test transactions from the payment gateway module you must first register for and receive a separate test account and config file directly from linkpoint using the following web site: https://www.linkpoint.com/support/sup_teststore.asp
   
   
2. Ensure you entered the correct store number. If you are using Yourpay you must enter your full 10 digit store number.
